STANHOPE GATE

The property, a Grade II listed building of Georgian heritage, built in 1757, is set in the heart of Mayfair and located close to the Dorchester Hotel, Hyde Park and a wide array of the area’s most important streets and amenities.

Having being used as an office facility for the best part of the past 20 years, the objective was to convert the property into a single house. Reinstating original features along the way to bring it back to its former glory, certain modern features were added such as AV installation, a passenger lift and a spa.

AVENUE ROAD

Located on a generous corner plot and comprising some 11,200 sq. ft. Avenue Road is an ambassadorial residence designed to reflect its prestigious surroundings.

A full renovation included a 3000 sq. ft. basement construction, achieved through piling the external footprint of the existing building and underpinning beneath, incorporating a retaining wall with a Delta waterproofing membrane system throughout.

LOWNDES PLACE

The renovation of a low-build freehold Belgravia villa took place over 24 months, including the excavation of a double basement to accommodate a spa pool and steam room, media room, bar, gym and lower basement plant room. As part of the architect’s specification a steel structure formed a new floor level with the fitting of a complete new mechanical and electrical layout.

Works to the property’s exterior included reconstruction of the roof and front façade, the excavation and reconstruction of new light wells to promote the front elevation, and the installation of sash windows and doors throughout the property.

DENEWOOD ROAD

Situated in Highgate’s residential area, ESSX CONSTRUCTION GROUP was tasked with the renovation of two contemporary villa-style homes. Both projects included the construction of large basement areas, involving piling, groundwater control and pumped drainage systems.

Looking to create a dramatic entrance, the hall includes full height structural glass at the front and rear allowing for natural light to cascade into the property while highlighting the curved feature staircase.

BISHOPS AVENUE

Jersey House is entered through a grand double atrium hallway with a sweeping staircase and gallery above. Providing four floors of elegant accommodation, all served by a custom built lift, spaces are large and elegant, with high ceilings and outstanding fixtures and fittings.

The grand master suite comprises of his and hers bathrooms and dressing areas, individually designed with bespoke marbles and handcrafted joinery.

RIDGEFIELD

This substantial new build home for a private client is in a gated road adjacent to highgate golf club. A concrete frame was constructed using a top down process, considerably reducing the program.

The property has ceilings of over 3 meters and incorporates the highest quality finishes, including stone arches and columns, bespoke central stone staircase, polished plaster and oak floors.
